Multiple Sclerosis Charities
We are currently looking to add Multiple Sclerosis charities to GiveBackAmerica.org, and we love to hear from our supporters as to which specific charities you would like to see us add. You can either email me at rob@givebackamerica.com, or simply leave a comment below this entry. We appreciate any input that you can give.

Thank you so much Rob for your email.
I can tell you that suffering from this insidious, disabling disease (MS) for 31 plus years, there are almost NO charities available to help us.
Even though MS is often a forgotten disease, over 400,000 Americans suffer from MS. In the course of 90 days, there will be, on average, 2,160 more people who hear the words, “You have multiple sclerosis", which is a chronic, progressive, and disabling disease that usually hits young adults in their prime.
The National MS Society is a great "source" of information, but their focus is on research.
Most MS patients cannot even afford their own medications (which include infusions of Tysabri - the drug of hope), nor is there any financial assistance for mobility devices such as motorized wheelchairs for us.
Therefore I would highly recommend the following for anyone who wants to help us:
NORDs (National Organization for Rare Diseases), which can assist patients like us with funding for their medications (which can be quite costly each month), and they can even assist us with our copayments (which can also be quite costly).
For charitable donations, NORDs can be reached:
NORD MS Premium/Co-Payment Assistance Program Conditions:Multiple Sclerosis Contact:1-800-634-7207
NORD MS Medicare Co-Payment Assistance Program Conditions:Multiple Sclerosis Contact:1-866-924-0100
For accurate Tysabri information, please visit the all volunteer non-sponsored website: www.mspatientsforchoice.org/.
Again Rob, thank you and your partners for not forgetting about us.
May each of you and your families be forever blessed with good health, prosperity and happiness.
Sincerely and gratefully, Lauren Roberts
